Risen Savior Anglican Church
Anglicanism
Anglicanism is the shorthand term used for the tradition that comes from the Church of England. The term was first being used when England was expanding its empire across the world and planting local churches throughout their empire. The churches that were planted were similar to the churches found in England, but were obviously not in England. The word 'Anglican' came about to describe those people and churches who were in the same tradition as the Church of England, but geographically elsewhere.
Anglican "Three Streams" Worship

Today, Anglicans enjoy freedom to worship in three different streams of Christianity. The three streams that make up Anglican worship are Scripture, Spirit, and Sacredness.
At Risen Savior, we try and hold these three distinct ways of worship in harmony, not forsaking one for another. One any given Sunday morning, we will worship in the Spirit, speak an abundance of Scripture, and participate in ancient Sacred practices all for the glory of the King of Kings.
Today, in America, there are two primary denominations within Anglicanism, that being the Episcopal Church and the ACNA (Anglican Church in North America). We a part of the ACNA communion and The Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes.
"Anglicanism is a worldwide body of Christians responding to God’s revelation through Jesus Christ. Anglicanism brings together the authority of the Bible, the historic faith, and the beauty of structured prayer. It is rooted in tradition, yet contemporary in practice. It is united in substance, yet diverse in expression. We are a global family living out our faith in local communities." -ACNA Website
